Exercise reduces memory problems in breast cancer survivors

Memory difficulties are common among breast cancer survivors. Could exercise be the answer? A new study published in Psycho-Oncology shows a link between physical activity and reduced memory problems in breast cancer survivors. For the study, nearly 1,500 patients completed surveys that included questions about physical activity and memory impairment. Those who reported engaging in moderate-to-vigorous exercise also reported less memory impairment. “Moderate-to-vigorous” activity includes anything that challenges you enough to work up a sweat, such as brisk walking or taking an exercise class.
