Try this as your biggest meal of the day. Hemp and/or pumpkin seeds, berries, and dulse provide protein. These and the other ingredients are rich in a wide variety of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other phytonutrients, and are easy to digest and utilize.

Salad

Makes 1 serving

Toss together:

1 head romaine lettuce, chopped or torn into bite-sized pieces

1–2 tomatoes, diced

1 6” cucumber or ½ of an English cucumber

1 handful of golden and/or goji berries (soak goji berries to make them plump)

1 handful of raw shelled hemp and/or pumpkin seeds

3–4 strips of dulse seaweed, crumbled

Optional: ⅛ to ¼ raw onion, sliced thin or diced

Dressing

Makes 2 servings

Blend together:

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

Juice of ½ lemon

1 sprig of parsley

½ avocado

1 tsp. spirulina
